Hon. (Dr) Emil Inyang

In the ever-evolving story of Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency, one name continues to echo with gratitude and pride; Hon. (Dr) Emil Inyang. His representation is not just measured by motions moved or projects facilitated, but by the tangible transformation of lives across his constituency. Once again, his commitment to human development has been proven beyond words.


On Tuesday, 7th October 2025, at the Police Training School, Odukpani, history was made as Hon. (Dr) Emil Inyang facilitated the recruitment of eight additional slots for young men and women of his constituency into the Nigeria Police Force under the 2022/2023 Batch “B” Police Constable intake. This achievement, made possible through his consistent lobbying and influence, stands as another solid proof of his belief that the best way to empower a people is to open doors of opportunity for them.


The ceremony, graced by distinguished personalities including representatives of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, PhD, NPM; the Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIG Frank Mba, mni; and other service chiefs, celebrated not only the successful recruits but also the man whose relentless effort cum positive influence was felt. The newly commissioned constables: PC Favour Egbe, PC Abo Kanu, PC Bassey Abit, PC Enyi Monica, PC Celestine Mercy, PC Ukam Ola, PC Williams Joan, and PC Mkpat Ambang; now stand as proud ambassadors of Akamkpa/Biase, carrying forward Hon. Emil’s vision of responsible service and self-reliance.


But this is just one chapter in a long and growing list of his people-centered achievements. Hon. Emil Inyang has facilitated in total so far the employment of 26 constituents into the Nigerian Police Force, 3 into the Nigerian Air Force, 1 into lecturing positions at the Polytechnic Ugep, Nelfund (3 persons), and the Cross River State Civil Service (4 persons), among others. His influence extends beyond jobs; it reaches the very heart of economic empowerment. He has sponsored vocational training programs in Point of Sale (POS) business operations and fishing enterprises, each followed by startup packages to ensure that beneficiaries do not just acquire skills but build sustainable livelihoods.


To Hon. Emil, empowerment is not charity; it is a strategy. He believes that while giving fish may feed a person for a day, teaching them to fish feeds a generation. His leadership is therefore not only about giving, it is about building. He makes great men and women out of ordinary boys and girls, transforming potential into productivity and dependence into dignity. His goal is clear: to create a constituency where self-reliance becomes the culture and not the exception.


Since his emergence as the representative of Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency, Hon. Emil Inyang has become the face of purposeful representation; a man whose compassion is matched only by his results.
