No doubt, the law of self preservation enjoys both primacy and supremacy. The 'ME' or 'I' is existentially prioritised. However, the doctrine of opposite is both innate and essential. It views nature as a coin - a two-sided acceptable and indispensable medium of exchange. Therefore, reconcilatorily, it also prioritised the 'WE' and the 'US'.
But since it's natural to start counting from 'one', the paramountcy of the 'ME' assumes a democratic credibility, albeit, as the synonym of majority rule. The 'ME' even tends to appropriate GOD. In fact, it appropriates, sort of, the right of first refusal, with regards to God's help (the soul and spirit of a good life). Hence, 'Help Me God' is the chorus of our prayers.
But, for the man who had broken the Covenant with God, God's help is only exchangeable with CHANGE (performative repentance).
Of course, Nigerians have betrayed in their covenant with Nigeria. They have permanently withheld their unity and faith and have adamantly refused to change. In other words, Nigerians have bluntly refused to begin change. Each emphasises on 'So Help Me God' but undermines 'Change Begins with Me'. We abandoned the ME RACE (godly race) and instead, embraced the rat race. The ME RACE is the race for God's help. In the race, everyone endeavours to be the first to begin change, so as to be the first to receive God's help.
The Good Nigerian is the Nigerian who begins change, and therefore, is patriologically entitled to God's help.
